Brockville and Area Special Olympics is dedicated to changing the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports in Leeds and Grenville.
Thank you for your interest in supporting Brockville and Area Special Olympics. By now you have read a little about our organization and the programs. Currently we have more than 80 active athletes and 70 volunteers who give freely of their time and energy. Our athletes can participate in 1 or all of our 11 sports for an annual registration fee of $25. The annual budget for running the programs is approximately $300 per athlete. We rely on the generosity of the community and individuals like yourself for support.
We limit our major fundraising efforts to a biennial “Fundraising Drive” which ends with a Gala around November. This event provides an opportunity for “Friends of Brockville and Area Special Olympics” to provide sponsorship for our various sport programs and activities; to enjoy an evening of fun and have an opportunity to acquire an item during our Live and Silent auctions. All funds raised are retained in Leeds and Grenville.
Every other year, we host a Breakfast of Champions which may raise a few dollars but is really an opportunity for the community to meet our athletes and volunteers. It is also held in the November time frame.
